our mechanics are a direct reflection of your overall game. Incorrect or sloppy mechanics send the wrong signals to your partner, the coaches, the players and the fans. Poor mechanics may infer that you don't care or that you don't have a clue what you're doing. Sharp, crisp mechanics, on the other hand, indicate that you do indeed know what you are doing - even if you don't 100% of the time. For instance: Bottom of the seventh inning. Count is 3 balls and 2 strikes. Bases are loaded. Team at bat is down by one run. The pitcher paints the outside part of the plate, and you call strike three using your routine strike mechanic. How many people (especially the coach of the losing team) have you sold on that strike three call, which ended the game they just lost by one run with the bases loaded? Sell that called strike three, and sell it with confidence. This is not the time to be shy or timid.
